How it is made

Everything follows four steps. Source: start with exchange filings, company disclosures, official releases & regulator data. Verify: reconcile dates, periods, units & comparable figures. Size: measure a development against revenue, profit, capacity, cash flow or the balance sheet. Explain: define the finance terms, state the counterpoint & identify what remains unknown.

Where a widely reported figure disagrees with the filing, we use the filing & say so. If an error gets through, the archive copy is corrected & the change is surfaced rather than quietly rewritten.
