Indian markets, decoded · a brief before the open, every trading day

About HV Investing

A daily pre-market briefing on Indian markets, written to be read in minutes & trusted for years.

What this is

HV Investing publishes a brief every trading day, before the market opens. Each edition covers the session, company news decoded in depth, results season, IPOs, macro & what to watch next — in plain language, with every technical term explained the first time it appears.

Subscribers also get the screens: sortable tables over every listed company's filings & prices — earnings reactions, gap-ups after results & the latest quarterly numbers with trailing valuation. The screens are a watchlist of ideas to investigate, never recommendations.

How it is made

The briefs are produced with AI, under editorial supervision. That is stated plainly because it is how the publication achieves its coverage & its discipline: software reads exchange filings, price files & primary documents at a scale no single writer can, and an editor supervises what publishes under the masthead.

Three practices anchor the method. First, primary sources: numbers come from exchange filings, company presentations & official statistics — not from second-hand summaries. Where a widely-reported figure disagrees with the filing, the brief goes with the filing & says so. Second, a fact-check pass: every edition runs through a dedicated check of its numbers before publishing. Third, corrections: when an error slips through despite that, it is corrected in the archive copy & flagged in the next edition rather than quietly rewritten.

The screener data follows the same rules. Prices come from exchange bhavcopy files; fundamentals are parsed from XBRL filings made to the exchanges. Rows that fail an automated sanity check are marked unverified on the site rather than silently dropped or silently trusted.

What this is not

HV Investing is not a SEBI-registered research analyst or investment adviser, & nothing on this site is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. The briefs are a reading of the day, meant to inform. Valuation context is trailing only — reported numbers, never forward estimates. Momentum can reverse, & a stock appearing in a screen is a starting point for one's own work, not a conclusion.
